Rusty,

I'm very sorry to hear you're cancelling, and I'm also sorry you have
had such a hard time trying to get your ride scheduled.  I went to
your ride last year and enjoyed it tremendously.  Especially since it
was a new ride, it was very well organized with lots of volunteers and
numerous water stops at all the "right places" as far as I was
concerned.  Beautiful area, too.

I did not know you were wanting to change the date from April to
November.  For what it's worth, I went to the Moab ride last year
also, it was a new ride with the ride date the first weekend in
November.  So I guess that's why it was approved for that same date
this year.  Moab is MUCH closer to me than Scottsdale.  I'm not your
average rider to be going to the Scottsdale ride -- I'm not close to
there at all!  As far as I know, I was the only person from Colorado
at your ride last year, it took me two days to get there :-) but it
was certainly worth the long drive - I'm glad I went.

I hope you will reconsider, Rusty, and have your ride.  I have NO
doubt that it would be well attended, and good luck to you.
