And what's up with the horse dropping dead on the

course? Did that really happen? If so, shouldn't that
have been caught by a vet BEFORE the horse started? 


Not if it was something like an aneurysm.  Such things have happened in our 
sport as well, and even a thorough pre-event physical is not going to disclose 
such pre-existing conditions.
