What you get as informations from Steph and gulf countries websites is THEIR reality

Not to be argumentative, especially with Leo!! but I must point out that information from Steph covers the globe and is not at all specific to the UAE/gulf countries.

Last year Steph (and Merri and Alice and Leo) covered @10 European FEI events (and Lynn Glazer covered the 10 day Al Andalus run under FEI rules). @10 events from the Gulf @8 from Central/South America, and @10 from?Oceania. and @10 from North America.?

Check the event archives for a refresher on these. And note that Merri/Steph are getting ready to pack up and head to Europe again shortly.?

What you get from Steph is coverage of Endurance around the world. From Malaysia to Uruguay, from Mexico to UAE, from Egypt to Norway, from Poland to Japan -??from Vermont to Argentina - from Belgium to New Zealand ?- from Namibia to ?England - from Germany to Australia - from North Carolina to Washington ... If you want to review what endurance is like around the world - just look at the archives. You'll quickly see that it (FEI Endurance) is not the same everywhere.?

As to the UAE style of endurance -- it is not for fun - it is for the glory of the tribe! As to endurance in Japan -- it's all about honoring the horse and the activity of Riding. as to endurance in Uruguay - It's fast and hard riding! In?Guatemala?- it's to finish! in Columbia - it's just starting, like in Mexico and India! ?In the US - to experience the race! ?In Malaysia - It is to prove it can be done! In Australia - to be consistently winners! in New Zealand - to be ready to win when possible! all sorts of goals and philosophies and approaches.
