[RC] More kudos for Hi-ties - Kristi Schaaf

I have three Hi-ties (the kind Sportack sells) on my
LQ. Last year we hauled our horses for a
camping/riding trip in the mountains. Our camp spot
had three large strong pole corrals and we were
thrilled that our horses would have so much room to
stretch their legs. To our surprise, all three were
nervous wrecks in the corrals and paced for hours;
they seemed really nervous about something 'in the
woods'. So we tried putting them together in one
corral, but it didn't help. Finally in desperation we
tied them to their Hi-ties on the trailer and all
three INSTANTLY relaxed and dozed off. Those Hi-ties
are HOME to them and they feel safe and comfortable on
them no matter where we go or what's 'out there'
around them.
