Kane, MDTitle: "Pink Camo" - New Endurance Music CD from Bobbie Ann (Disclaimer: I have no personal connection to Bobbie Ann or anyone involved w/ the production of the CD.)Having loved the first CD of parodied music with endurance-related lyrics, TROT, I was excited to see this 2nd CD--"Pink Camo" on the cover of which Bobbie Ann and her horse are wearing—pink camoflage gear. This one is even better than the first one! This album is dedicated to, among 2 others, our local heroine Becky Grand Hart. Bobbie Ann rewrites lyrics to popular songs from many genres—rock, jazz, blues—and sings with a mellow, lilting voice accompanied by some kind of ? off-the-shelf instrumental music that she calls ‘The Invisible Band.’ Top pix are: "Hard Day’s Ride” to Hard Day’s Night But when the vet check is through And he gives all A’s to you You know I feel all right! "Stuck in the Middle" to the Dylan song of same name made famous by Steve Miller Hot-shoes to the left of me, newbies to the right Here I am, stuck in the middle, whaddo I do? And where the original wailed, “Plee-ee-ee-ee-ee-ease” Bobbie Ann hears the hot-shoes yelling, “Trai-ai-ai-ai-ai-ail!” and an *awesome* cover/parody of Summertime, which uses the Big Brother and the Holding Company/Janis Joplin arrangement The songs touch, inspire, and empathize--as in, hooray: someone has put poetry to the trials, tribulations, and joys of riding endurance. Only negative is I can’t play it in iTunes on my Mac. I think I had this issue w/ the first CD, too. Should rip OK to an iPod or Nano w/ Windows Media Player.
