i was told it made a chemical change in the plastic bottle and that's what was dangerous.  a friend thought to warn me as i freeze water to carry on the trail in hot weather.

I have been doing it for over 10 years. In fact I prefer it frozen. I'm still healthy as a horse. Freeze your Gatorade it is safe.
