that's super! i just love old horses, they seem so wise. my  banjo was
39 when i helped him cross the bridge. the last 5 years of his life, i
had to feed him so much to keep weight on him. then about 2 years
before his death, he couldn't eat hay, had a hard time chewing it. he
would chew and chew and suck all the juice out. i was able to find
some triple crown chopped alfalfa and chopped grass. I would get a bog
of each, feed him half & half. he loved it!

i do believe the triple crown chopped forage, beet pulp and purina
senior feed gave him a chance to live those extra years. boy..banjo
was such a beautiful horse.
