Re: [RC] President's cup - John Teeter

difficult to do from afar. 95+% of the horses are from stables in the UAE. The UAE/FEI research project outlined in the following:

might be the place to go for answers.

Boy, when I started scrolling down the elimination page I kept saying,"Wow. Wow! WOW! ARE YOU KIDDING?!"

John and Steph, I sure do appreciate all the coverage of events and the your website so don't take this personally.

It looks like 118 or so signed up or were invited, 101 started and only 28 finished. Almost all of the pulls were lameness. Duh. Who'd a thunk that kind of "competition" could lame up a horse? I think this is a horrible display of our sport. I am all for racing if you prepare, riding if you just want to have fun and everything in-between. However, this is on the verge of abuse.

Some will say, the vet control was very strict and that is why so many horses were pulled.

To that I say, bullshit.

John and Steph, I would love to see what the top ten horses in this race are doing next year. Maybe you could follow up on that and report that they are still competing and sound. I would gladly eat my words.

How about giving us a follow-up on last year's winners of the President's Cup?
