[RC] - sandy rovane

I have a gelding that has these small crusty sores all
over his body. They looked like pitch but upon
removing them they are small finger nail size sores
that seem to have a fissure like head inside. He has
them down his back, neck and rump. They brush off
leaving a open sore. He lives in the mountains in
California in pine as well as oak trees. Some of
these little sores are under his winter blanket that
he has had on since October. Help. They don't seem
to bother him.
