RE: [RC] [RC] Horse question... - Jannelle Wilde & Adam Falk

Not all Arabs are WACKO!!  I am partial to the older lines and desert bread horses ( we breed Davenports)  Horses from the CMK and Al Kahmsa lines tend to be shorter in height than your show horses (14.2 to 15.2)  and often, not always, are more level headed.  That said any horse can spook.  My favorite mare likes to play games on training rides and jump at rocks and stick that we have passed hundreds of times.  This even though we have just done 25 miles of mountains.  At a ride though she is all business so I know that she Is just playing games to have some fun on the same old trail.  My other mare almost never spooks and when she does she drops straight down like a cutting horse.

In the end you do not need an Arab to compete in endurance.  Morgans, Morabs, Quarbs, American show horse, mustangs and so many more do well in the sport.  I like the mind of my Arabs and have always liked a horse who thought they were smarter than me.
