Re: [RC] [RC] Shoeing question - experiences with clips and hot fitting - Skyla Stewart

I am the same as Truman, back clips are a must have. I've used back clips for the last 4 years, and one of the nice side affects was the shoes are wearing better. Tempo is a back foot slider and it just wrecks havoc on not only shoes and nails, it doesn't help the hoof with the shoe going all cattywhompus either. Hind clips are a blessing for him. I can take or leave front clips, does help with some of the nail stress. My horse has wonderful feet, and goes barefoot just great during the off season.
