[RC] Tevis Trail Construction - Wendell Robie Training Hill - Lucy Chaplin Trumbull

Apologies if this is a duplicate post.

The Western States Trail Foundation are doing some
work on the "Training Hill" above No-Hands Bridge,
and I figured there might be some people here who
use that trail. I'm not clear from this email if the
work includes the last section between the bottom
of the hill and the Bridge (which has two parallel
trails, one of which has been closed for some time
awaiting trail work), but I'm guessing it might, since
the alternate trail is getting pretty rutted:

... Would you please get this out to as many organizations and people as you can. We have waited for this for a long time and don't want anything to botch it now. The fewer the horses through there until it settles the better. Thanks

...Our joint foundation trail committee has done some major work in concert with State Parks on a section of trail from Pointed Rocks (El Dorado County near Cool) down to No Hands Bridge along the WSTF Trail over the last two weeks.  We are having a trail machine fill in ruts and smooth out sections of this length of trail that has eroded over many years.  We are trying to get most of the dirt moving done before the rains start this week, and I would like to have posted in large and unambiguous text on our website that we are requesting that horses not use this trail until later in the month when the soil has had a chance to compact and settle.  We still need to place water bars and do final brushing, so it would be extremely helpful for riders to use the alternate trail to Cool from Auburn (dam site) or schedule their ride so as to not traverse this section.   Could you please put something up on the home page as an attention getter with this message?  I would keep this up until the end of February, and by then the trail should be stable.
