Just last night, as I was feeding at my friends, her young mule, Sadie,  lifted a leg to kick at Smoot, the 5 year old mule. I was not within kicking distance but was in the same stall. I scolded Sadie with my voice for doing the "unthinkable", which is threatening another animal while a person is present. She understood nicely. Beccy
