In the mean-time the most important thing to know: 1 - start time is 8pm GMT on the 25th of December 2007 2 - you have to have entered prior to the start. because of these to things, we need to get going on spreading the word and getting the sign-ups going. So a 3 phase approach: 1 - if you think others of your friends and acquaintances might want to enter, send them email and let them know. I will start a community FAQ (i.e. the rules:) asap and send pointers to it. 2 - get the information you'll need to enter ready. at a minimum we'll need to identify you and your horses. So be ready. 3 - begin to familiarize yourself with the basic technologies. If you are going to do the GPS division, then you'll need to be able to work with the www. motionbased.com web site. make yourself an account there and practice with your GPS. if you are going to do the "HandDrawn" division, then download google earth, locate your trail, put a start placemark and and end (minimum) and draw the path you are going to ride. put them in a folder and save them to your disk. basically become familiar with the tools. more later, jt On Dec 22, 2007, at 10:42 AM, susan cooper wrote: Could you please post the complete rules and how to enter, etc...as I did not see the beginning.
