Re: [RC] Cool Trails Website - oddfarm

John, there is a program, (free) called www.MapmyRun.com , (bike, hike and swim I think) and they will be coming out next year with a horse trails program. You can map a route and it tells you your mileage, elevations, and has ways for you to share your run with other runners. I have found some trails in parks and rec areas but not always. Is this kinda what you will be doing?

It (something like this for endurance riders) is on the way. I've been making googleEarth/Map tracks for as many rides as possible and will soon have it all together. Then you can upload your maps. Motionbased.com is an other way to go as well. (but for now, I'm trying to put googleEarth.kmz files up on each of the events that steph is covering and I've a backlog of NW region rides to integrate.

If any of you want to send me your track-logs I'll put them in the todo queue, or you can wait till I get done and you can upload them directly.

This was designed for OHV areas, but they have some really cool multi-use trails as well.  At least for my area, they have a lot of really good information, cool pictures, etc.  Makes me want to get out and RIDE!  Go away snow, go away....  How neat would it be if there was a site like this for all the different endurance rides!!!
