Re: [RC] Layover in middle Georgia - Mike Lewis

Yeah... spent 4 years in Warner Robins myself.  Got started with my first endurance ride in 1998.  Oconee, I think.  The stables on base were OK, but this Air Force Captain (at the time) was talked to by one Colonel about riding his horse all over base.  :-)

How interesting it was to some folks... going through the base gate (ID check) with a horse.  :-)

What a blast from the past.  I spent 5 years in Warner Robins, GA.  Although we had stables at Warner Robins AFB I had many friends in the Perry, GA area.  Have a number of friends who have retired and moved back to that area.  I loved that area.  If it wasn't for the extreme humidity I'd move back there in a heartbeat.  I'll keep this place in mind when I travel back there in two years!  Thanks Angie!

Layover in middle Georgia

Its called Sandy Hill Stables and its 1 mile off 75 in Perry, Georgia.  The place is nice and clean and it has a great turn around for big rigs.  The numbers are 478.987.7187 or 478.987.2156.
