Re: [RC] Snowballs - Beth Walker

What are Snow Pads -- are they actual pads nailed on with the shoe, or an "add-on"?

Snow Pads...the only true thing that works.? They actually pop the snow out as they walk...no build up.? Won't go without them with shoes on.

Since I live in the San Diego area, I don't have a lot of experience
with horses and snow. The last time I tried to ride a horse in the
snow (many years ago), I ended up stopping every couple of minutes to
dislodge the snow buildup from his feet. At times, the poor guy was
trying to walk on little stilts of snow. Not really a fun ride.
Since that time, I've just not ridden in the snow -- waited a week
for it to melt. :) Still, I suppose there might be times I would
like to go riding in snow.

So -- any of you folks from snowy climes have solutions for this?
