Great story! And so motivating...I'm running my first half-marathon on March 3rd. However, I'm told it's the flattest half marathon in the area, and I'm quite certain it's totally paved.

I am also running to keep in shape for my horse--I think the loss of a few pounds won't hurt either of us! I'd just like to get back down into featherweight....
