Jody threw this out to the SERA BOD sometime back. It is a great idea. 
It honors the greatest 100 mile horse to come from the SE - maybe the 
greatest of all times when all is considered. While I not sure awards 
will revive the 100's - it sure doesn't hurt and it sure helps to honor 
the horses that are going out and getting it done.
