[RC] managing over 50 - Tx Trigger

Julie Suhr STARTED endurance riding  around 40 years ago when she was 40ish.. She now has about 30,000 miles in the sport, and finished 4- 50 milers this past season.  Don't feel you are too old to start in the sport. Anytime I am feeling a bit sore, tired, or what ever, I remind myself that I am just a bit older than Julie was when she started. Inspires me to get out there and ride.

I will agree with Cindy though. When I was younger, I had people tell me, "don't lift that by yourself", as I bucked hay, feed, etc.  And now, my joints are feeling the damage I did, from not listening. You have nothing to prove by doing these things alone. Save your body's joints, as you may not feel the damage for years. And then it sucks to not be able to ride without some pain, where things never bothered you before.
