Re: [RC] Dog Woes -- What to Do? - Karen Bohn

If it were me and I knew those dogs would be there every time I passed, I'd get off my horse before the house with the dogs and casually walk him up and down past them until he got bored and ignored them.  Its possible that you tense up before you get to the house anticipating the problem.  Believe me, your horse feels that.

Fortunately, I have small yapping dogs of my own so my horses are totally immune to them.  I also have Great Danes which run up and down the fence line barking at the horses, so mine pretty much ignore all dogs.

Subject: [RC] Dog Woes -- What to Do?

I've read posts before about what to do about dogs but I think this one is a bit different so am curious as to the advice we'll get.  Thanks in advance!

Thanks,
Val
