Re: [RC] senior feed - Jody Rogers-Buttram

I have never had a problem with Senior feed at all.  In fact, I LOVE the stuff.  I have had several horses on it over the years, and never noticed anything.  Aries is on it and has been all year, she is doing very well with it.  She is 17 yrs. old now, and has always been a thin horse.  She isn't Fat now, but she seems to have held her weight better, even with going to rides.   She is a goober brain horse anyway, so maybe it does affect her and I just can't tell.

I find the horses that don't need to be on senior feed(horse is 10 years old etc.) and the trainer told the owner to put them on senior to put weight on the horse, is when there is the personality change...I put the horse on Strategy and beet pulp, and within a short time the horse is more manageable.
