Re: [RC] [AERCMembersForum] Revised Rule 14 - Protests and Grievances - John Teeter

note that, whereas, there are specified time frames for all actions by initiator of the protest (30 days of event), respondent of protest (30 days of notification by chair of P&G committee), and office staff (immediately?transfer?all materials to chair of P&G committee), there is NO requirement placed upon the chair of the P&G committee to do anything within any defined time-period. Please consider adding (to the first sentence following 14.2.5;
??
?"The Chairman of the Committee shall, WITHIN 5 BUSINESS DAYS, serve the respondent ...".

Basically, with the current wording it would be possible for the chair of the P&G committee to sit on a complaint they didn't like ad infinitum - which isn't right, the process should not have?arbitrary?delays built in.

thusWise&Therefore etc...
