Re: [RC] [RC] EN "ad reps"--Troy's excellent work - D'Arcy Demianoff-Thompson

Again, I am always blown away when those, in the know, step up and set the record straight.  Thank you, Lynne, for the background on this ad.  And you know this would all in all make a great bio clip on that AD!  I wasn't concerned when I saw the ad knowing how at any given moment the terrain can change and this is not a 'show in the ring' business.  I can, however, understand the sensibilities of readers wanting endurance to be represented in the most positive light as possible.  Sounds to me like all of us could use some volunteer time at EN to help Troy out!  Is that possible?  I for one would like to see that side of endurance!

When I volunteered at the Gold Country Ride this year I felt so bad for the riders coming into the 35 mile check.  They looked like they were DONE, their horses were DONE, and thirty minutes later, viola, refreshed, renewed, and smiling and waving on their way back out!  You would not have known they were the same pair that came in 30 minutes earlier!

However, now that you have fore warned me, Lynne, I will be sure to look my best, and keep my horse in pristine shape in order to be photogenic.  Because it's all about the ad copy and not about the sport! (TOC - in case anyone takes me serious)
