Re: [RC] Myths - Bruce Weary - Truman Prevatt

Pete,

This seems odd since I would thing that would be an important component in addressing equine welfare.

We already know if you take the single day 50's and LD's the metabolic pull rate in the 50 is twice that as the LD. The metabolic pull rate in the 100's is about 4 to 5 times that as the LD.

I can run it in regions when I get a chance - I have to be out of town the rest of the week.

But I would sure hope somewhere in the AERC there is a record of the treatments.

Truman, You have the right idea! Let the data do the
talking.

Several people have posted me off-line that the HWC
does not keep records on horses requiring treatment. The best we can do is look at metabolic pulls. To
look at "New Riders" you could look at the rider's
ride record and compare the number of starts to the
number of metabilic pulls.

I bet an ace number cruncher like yourself could
generate the stats in no time.

Regards, Pete
