The new Level II Parelli materials contains a booklet called "Move Closer, Stay Longer" to address peoples fears issues.  I think that the very fact that the Parelli's are addressing this is why you have middle aged people with their first horse flocking to buy their stuff.  This is who they are marketing to quite successfully, and that's why you see a lot of scared Parelli-ites walking their horses, wiggling their finger at them, and not riding.
 
BTW, it's my current general equitation instructor that's making me ride Drako with a looser rein now.
