So while everyone was waiting for the police or Animal Control they
sit and watch someone to continue to abuse their horse. I am glad
someone had the guts to step in before the horse died.
Reminds me of the crowds that watch a human being beaten or raped.

If I am understanding this correctly, it was not that Patrick simply
stepped in, he chased the guy through a fence - correct~?  Knowing
the 'good ole boy' western riders I have seen through the years, not
many would take kindly to someone telling them what to do with their
horse.  The rider might not have backed off without some real moxie
from another male.

Like Susan, I would rather take my DQ or whatever and protect a horse
from abuse and possible death than do nothing at all.  The rotten
rider should never be permitted to enter another endurance ride
anywhere. He should be blacklisted.
