Might I suggest a Garmin 205  Forerunner (which is what I use )or a  
Garmin 101 Foretrex (which is what my wife uses)?  They  are wrist 
mounted Gps  watches that you can   look at and  know  how fast you are 
going and  if your are going to fast, or to slow.
