RE: [RC] [RC] RE:Susan G.'s response to what's in YOUR Mash? - Daniela Desilets

Thanks Carla,

I have an old tag here - 3515 Equine Show Chow - They have since changed it to part of the Lifecycle Line and the tag now says Show Horse.  Of course, this is up in Canada so there may be differences.  The website given on the tag doesn't give any ingredients, just analysis'.  It's an 8% fat content, 13.5 %protein, 15% fibre.  I will check out the site you sent.  B.O. used to feed Race Ready to her competition barrel horses, it is possible that they changed names on the same food and made it part of a new product line.  The Show Horse is what her horses are on now.

As the B.O. will be freechoice feeding hay this winter, we may have to take him off the grain and just give him the equilizer.  I am all for it but I will miss the super shiny coat and reduced fading.  Even with an indoor arena we just don't ride that much in the winter because here in the far north of Ontario, -40 and below is just too cold.  I draw the line at -20 C.

"I searched the Purina website and couldn't find a product called "Show Horse" so not sure what you're feeding, Daniela.
