Burnt 25,000 acres on 3 sides of Echo Valley. All houses and the 
40-50 horses that stayed are fine thanks to prayers from my friends 
and 5-6 fire crews that mounted 3 separate assaults and backfires 
that stopped the fire outside the fence line. I spent 3 day and 
nights hosing the 30 horses and various sheds at our stable to 
prevent any sparks from igniting the place. We fared much better than 
many other horse people and are now trying to help them.
