And if I was boarding at a facility, I'd have different considerations on
the fencing, as I can not control what other animals come and go from the
field, that could cause problems.  Herds that have horses coming and going
would indeed, add a different dimension to what can go wrong. (Like bully
horses chasing those who are wimps into fences)

My horses have been in barbed wire, straight wire, electric tape and have
been able to stay out of trouble.  But plenty of trouble can be had in an
open herd boarding situation.
