How very true that statement is. I once owned and attempted to compete on two Arabs that were not at all suited to endurance riding.

I don't think there is any "definitive" answer as it totally depends on the
horse. Just because a horse is an Arabian, doesn't mean it's suited to
endurance, or a QH is suited to cow work, or even a TB is suited to racing.
