Re: [RC] NSH's for endurance - desertrydr1

Hi Ranelle,

I personally have not owned a NSH.  BUT I crewed for Ernie Schrader and his Pinto NSH, Captain Calypso (aka Spot) in the 100 mile NC last August at Oreana.  That horse never looked tired all day and night.  He ate, and must have drank good.  He aced his completion vet check with mostly A's and A-'s.  He is apparently a handful at the start, although he didn't look crazy to me.  AND he was a real sweetie to work with.  Accepted all kinds of handling with no fuss, including sponging his lower, lower abdomen if you get my drift.

I really liked crewing for Spot and Ernie.  Both good guys.  Spot even sent me flowers afterward.  jeri
