[RC] crushing pills - k s swigart

to point something out. I was using my coffee
grinder to grind bute pills, antibiotics, and also
the tums I put in my electrolytes. After reading
how little bute it takes to test I wondered if I
could have made my horse test positive simply by
using the same grinder on tums I'd used on bute.


I have always been of the opinion that anytime you use any tool in the
preparation and administration of drugs it should be thoroughly cleaned
before being used for anything else.

p.s.  I also use the break them into pieces with my hand and put them in
a small amount of water and let them disolve...or better yet, get them
in powder form in the first place. :)
