I have a friend that bought a small (13.3) Peruvian mare, 6
years old, slightly underweight, good withers, looks like a
med. tree to me.  She'd been ridden in the traditional
Peruvian tack but my friend is looking at buying a saddle
(she strictly trail-rides) that will be comfortable for
both of them and not be restrictive in the shoulder area. 
I have let her borrow my Abetta endurance (arab tree) and
an older Wintec Aussie (med. tree) to see what might by the
right width.  Anyone with advice on fitting to gaited
horses and who might also use treeless saddles, or any
other information, please e-mail me privately so as not to
clog the list.  The mare is used to a crupper and my friend
is 4'11" tall and would like something with a narrower
twist and a more western/endurance seat than an english
type.
