RE: [RC] Wound care on silly horse - Susan E. Garlinghouse, DVM

I am thinking you need to get a vet out that can tell you for sure whether
or not it can be sutured, needs antibiotics and appropriate therapy.
Stifles are prime areas for proud flesh development (more so with Wonder
Dust application) and I've successfully sutured lots of stifles.

It is on the front of his stifle , Stitching doesn't seem viable as it
is going to open up as he moves so I know I should treat it like an open
wound. She said if it were a dog ,they'd stitch and put a drain in , cause
you could get a pocket under the skin for infection... but I know with
horses you usually can't stitch on a joint area,
I have Nitrufurazone, Wonder dust, and Derma gel. I have betadine and
Providine scrubs to clean with. I am thinking hose, clean 2x a day,
