Thanks Ranelle. I will check into it.

Our barn is having a Matt Sheridan clinic soon, and I'm hoping that I might pick his brain for bit styles, as well. In the meantime, I'm going to try a hackamore - at least for training rides - so his mouth can heal up.

I sure hope I can cure his race brain -- it boggles the mind that one horse can go from working on voice commands to listening to absolutely NOTHING but brute force on ride day .... sigh.

The mouthpiece that changed my horse at the start of rides is a 41PB, and like I said, I chose a Kimberwick cheek.
