Re: [RC] Abercrombie Triple T and the Sharon Saare - rides2far

i'd bet Sharon wasn't > flattered > by the imitation. ts

I honestly had and have no idea which came first, never knew Abercrombie
so have no allegience. Never rode either saddle but my neighbor who
worked for Big Horn used to saw the horn off a barrel racing tree to make
"endurance saddles" and it looked a heck of a lot like both so it wasn't
exactly a radical design. The thing Sharon did (at least it seemed to me)
that was different and better than others is to offer different trees and
NAME THEM so you could convey to someone across the country just which
tree this was, which I believe makes the used ones far more marketable. I
never understood why Desoto wouldn't do that. You could ask someone about
their Desoto but it was very difficult to know which tree was in it. By
the way, the *style* of the Desoto is much like the Saare, as are *many*
other saddles on the market.
