How do you know that this specific company is doing this? What proof do you have? All you have done is take away from a post that was supposed to be educational

1) More names to send their propaganda to. Whether you or anyone else
thinks the org is a good guy or a bad guy, sending web bugs is definitely
underhanded since they don't announce they are doing it. Falls in the
category of "The end justifies the means".

2) Once your email address is verified as real, IT IS WORTH MONEY! It can
be sold to businesses that collect valid email addresses and who then in
turn sell those lists to whomever will pay for them... like spammers for
instance.

Is it time for John to drop the hammer on this thread yet? :)
