[RC] Knee Pain - Bruce Weary DC

Hi Kristi--
Lateral knee pain can have a few different causes. Have you had the LCL diagnosed, or is that a guess? The reason I ask is that the diagnosis is heavily dependent on the exact location and nature of the symptoms. You may have trouble with the IT band, or maybe even the lateral cartilage of the knee. I would have the knee evaluated by a really good orthopedist, and determine what the pain generator is, and then treatment options become clearer. Shortening the stirrups without good reason may actually cause more strain on the knee, not less. Email me privately if I can help. Dr Q
