I have to second the opinion by Sherry below on all accounts! I really can't state any opinion on Suicide Races since I know nothing about them. Maybe it is terrible and cruel. I just don't know. But I know a LOT of people that think I'm cruel for riding my horses in Endurance. Gads, I had a woman once in the parking lot at the beach threaten to call and report me to the humane society for riding a pony. The pony was a 13.3H, 1,000lb Hafflinger cross pony. I am 6' tall and 180 lbs. She felt I was way to big to be riding that "poor pony". I was with a group of folks riding Icelandics. This woman was just totally horrified with the whole bunch of us.
The quote about not throwing stones while living in a glass house is very appropriate I think.
