Lyric has several allergies and needs a diet change for
energy and to obtain all the necessary amino acids. I had my vet review
her current diet and her various allergies. According to her blood work she is allergic
to molasses, corn, Bermuda grass, rice bran and oats just to name the food allergies.
Her current diet consists of Bermuda grass, black oil sunflower seeds, beet
pulp, hoof supplement and joint supplement. I am changing her off the Bermuda to orchard grass hay. I spent hours
at the feed store today reading labels. The only thing I found that did
not contain the above listed ingredients was plain barley. Am I nuts
feeding this to her? Any suggestions are gratefully appreciated.

PS I only fed her one half of a one pound of barley in beet
pulp – she loved it!
