[RC] Dyna-spark - heidi larson

my "hard to syringe" horse seems nearly cured of his
syringe phobia due mostly to the acceptability to the
Dynaspark e-lytes. He will readily suck them out of a
syringe. I also carry in a small water bottle with a screw
on lid so they don't accidently spill, just fill a syringe
whenever I think he's ready for some. He will also eat
them in his mash.

Actually, the type of elytes I give my horse are Dynamite
Dyna-Spark. He
will lick it out of my hand. I personally choose to give
him half doses or
smaller all day long, often squirted on a carrot. It is a
liquid and the
phosphorus source happens to be molasses..:) I can squirt
it into my scoop,
and fill with water as I carry a travel size squeeze
bottle on my saddle. I
use it all day in very small amounts whenever I feel my
horse is ready
for/needs any. I also have some mixed with applesauce in
a sport bottle on
my saddle. My horse will turn his head and drink it from
the bottle. I
actually had to find one he couldn't bite! He likes it
that much.

Yes, sure, I know that but :
- how many grams of elytes can you safely add to the
mash or grain or
whatever and make sure the horse will keep eating ? One
scoop or two ? So
approx. 10 grammes
- 5 holds on a 160... Calculate the total amount given
to the horse. Not
very much

FYI..You don't have to syringe a horse to give it
e-lytes. I don't syringe
mine. My horse has his in his mash, on carrots, or out
of a water bottle
from the saddle.. He likes it so well, he asks for it!

Well, believe it or not, but sorry to tell you the
french didn't use
elytes
during the ride;

Why should they lie about this particular point?

Maybe Steph or Merri did spy them ... Steph... are you
listening??? Did
you see the french syringing any horse ?

Leonard, Belgium

No kidding. You don't keep winning by blabbing to the
world how you do
it!
If I was coaching a program as successful as theirs,
I'd be spreading all
sorts of disinformation too.

Wonderful performance from the French at the Euro
ride, are they still
running with OUT the use of additional supplemented
electrolytes during
the
ride? Just curious. Oh, oh, I do apologize if this
starts that dreaded
"to
elyte or not to elyte" debate again...lol.
