a brief note: tom sites reporting that the riders, airlifted to a  
hospital in Wichita, are stable and expected to recover. The driver  
of the car (an elderly woman) is critical. The horses are dead.  
(one?) was owned by Darolyn, who is in transit back from Portugal.  
She's diverted to Kansas City where Larry Lewis is to handle getting  
her to Wichita.
