Re: [RC] [RC] Horse boots - CTH

Simple boots will not stand up to endurance rides and the makers will not warranty them for distance. My gelding had terrible rub marks after walking in them for one trail ride.
I put gaiters on him the next day (made of vet wrap and my socks.) lol
I tried epics last ride and LOVED them.
50 miles with deep mud ,river crossings, more deeeeeep mud, shoe sucking mud and had no problems at all.

Has anyone tried the Simple boots? Any opinions? I couldn't find them on your website, Karen. I am sooo tired of searching for lost easyboots! Do the epics stay on better?

Riding a horse is not a gentle hobby, to be picked up and laid down like a game of solitaire.
It is a grand passion.
It seizes a person whole and, once it has done so, he will have to accept that his life will be radically changed. -- Ralph Waldo Emerson

I have thought about starting a boot trial program for next year (if
here is enough interest?) that will allow users to demo a certain
model of boot. That way they can see what fits and works for their
horse before purchasing them. EasyCare makes several models of boots
with more new ones on the way.

After re-selling (at a loss of course) yet another pair of boots that
weren't quite right for my horse, I told the buyer that it would sure be a
lot easier if we could take the horse to the shoe store and try on different
boots to see what works, before we buy.
I think I've got it narrowed down to size 2 Bares with the easy-up buckle
conversion. Size 3 Bares wouldn't go on his feet with the bungee installed
tight enough, and with the easy-up buckle the seem a little bit too big.
Waiting for the size two boots and the buckle kit to arrive... I must be
really bad at measuring because I've bought too-big Old Macs, too-big Simple
Boots... and the Boas I had should have been the right size for this horse
but I couldn't get them on his feet, was afraid if I got the hammer to pound
them on then I'd never get them off again!
