Re: [RC] Shoulder Conformation - D'Arcy Demianoff-Thompson

Kat,

Would I be correct in assuming if they are too uphill
and can't get under themselves...they don't make for a
good dressage prospect?

I was a bit confused once, okay, for all of you that
know me, I am confused on a regular bases, when
visiting one of the top Hanovarian breeders in CA.
When she referred to one of her top producing mares as
being too 'uphill' and would not make a good dressage
prospect but rather a GREAT jumper! I still to this
day do not understand that statement! If a horse can
not use his hindquarters powerfully...then how can it
make a great jumper? Not that I wanted a jumper I
wanted a GREAT DRESSAGE horse! :)
