I also work a team of draft horses for mowing hay and
hauling wood. A natural horseman once asked me if they liked and wanted
to haul heavy stuff around. My answer didn't go over well, which was
"I don't know. It never occurred to me to ask them. I am
assuming they will want to eat in December and this is part of the deal".
