[RC] The lucky ones - Andrea Day

"I think it does have a lot to do with "luck"-the lucky ones are born into or
bought by those who will care about them and care FOR them their entire
lives, and then when it's time for their lives to end, someone kind will be
there
with them...the rest of them, who knows..."


It's too bad we can't assure that for our species. Perhaps if we could see that happening with all the children in the world, there would be more of a certainty for our companion animals. Maybe then we could see clearly what is cruel and what is not. If you assume a certain ethical stance toward one or a few species-the equine, the canine--what is your stance toward others? What is your stance toward your own?
