[RC] 108! hot, hot ,hot- - L gin

Wow----it's been triple digits plus humidity anywhere from 80% in early morning plus to 35% when it hits over 100 for over 3 weeks plus. -- My barn thermoemter in the shade read 108, ground is fine dust, grass is non-existant, I water new shrubs and trees weekly to keep them alive. Fire danger is extreme.
I didn't believe it was reading right, came inside and checked the indoor outdoor one, it says 106. And it is only 1pm, hottest is later in the day...........
I finally got my new saddle right when the weather hit the triple digits, that I spent 6 months of demoing 6 saddles to finally fit us both and be somewhat secure. ---------- It is still sitting on the stand.
So much for restarting both of us anytime soon.;0( Either I am a wimp or no idiot.
My old dog can hardly breathe for 15 minutes after she goes out to do her thing, if I left her out for an hour she'd probably die.
The old horse is somewhat puny, increasing his feed and salt.
Horses are drinking 2.5 gallons of salty water next to their trough every day, along with salt block and loose salt.
I caught a squirrel coming out of the salt water bucket..........
Just paid 50$ a roundbale for a large supply of large roundbales , that I have to tarp. Feed store guy who bought it from the same farmer is selling it for 60$ . (that is about double the normal rate).(2 years of local drought). The only good thing is this year I can do that, normally I couldn't buy so much at once.Another farmer is planning on holding some hay back in a barn and "' bout December, he's gonna sell it for about 75$ a bale" (4 x5 roundbales).
A neighbor was riding a couple days to a week ago--------both covered in sweat, told them it had hit 105, that day----------wow--------some horse.
This is not fun. I was going to try and aim for Talledeaga ride, but now think I may just be volunteering..........
My horses need trimming, I may just set up some lights and do it about midnight..............

This heat also is giving me headaches and making me really tired----Can you die from " Hot Flashes", while outdoors in 108? ;p
