[RC] Colic/Mineral Oil - sherman

My vet had told me to go ahead & do that, just need to be careful not to
squirt with so much pressure that it gets into the lungs. Most of us are
savvy enough to know how to use a syringe on a horse though, after all
we need to do antibiotics, liquid wormers, electrolytes...

Kathy

My friend's horse had a mild colic last night.? She gave a dose of
banamine and walked him and he got over it without the vet's
assistance.?? My question is should she have syringed mineral oil into
him??? I thought I read that oil should not be syringed.?? She did
syringe some into him and he is fine.
?
Thanks
Karen
